Fall Poker Arrives All at Once
The next six weeks are suddenly the busiest stretch on the calendar. It starts Wednesday: the Maryland State Poker Championship opens at Live! Casino Maryland with 16 events and $1.1 million guaranteed, built around a $600 multi-flight for $250,000 and a $1,700 Main Event for $500,000 with flights September 3 to 5.
Then September stacks up fast: the WPT bestbet Championship in Jacksonville ($5,000 for $1,000,000, September 4 to 9), Borgata's Big Big Series (September 13 to 23, over $6 million guaranteed with a $5,300 Championship at $3,000,000), Hollywood's Everglades Poker Open, and Wynn's Fall Classic, September 28 through October 25, headlined by an $800 event with $400,000 guaranteed. Eriquezzo Rings the Bell Again, and McKeehen Keeps Rolling
Ryan Eriquezzo beat a field of 357 entries to win the WSOP Circuit Main Event at Harrah's Atlantic City for $124,397 and his fourth Circuit ring, closing out the first ring series in that room in five years.
And the name atop Event #1's results should look familiar: Joe McKeehen, who won the SHRPO Championship in Hollywood two weeks ago for $462,600, flew north and promptly won the opener for a ring. Some months it is just your month.
The Number

Total guarantees across the 20 bracelet events of WSOP Paradise, December 2 to 17 at its new Baha Mar home in the Bahamas, up $50 million on last year. The $25,000 Super Main Event alone guarantees $50 million.
Worth Knowing
- Venetian has announced the WPT Fall Festival, October 28 to November 15, with nearly $4 million guaranteed, topped by a $5,000 WPT Fall Championship for $2,000,000 with a live-streamed final table. The full schedule has not posted yet; the moment it does, it will be on the site.
- Palm Beach Kennel Club's September schedule is out, and the headline is a $300 September Monster for $100,000, five flights September 3 to 5 with $65 satellites running this week. PBKC has also added a new $100 Turbo on Monday and Thursday nights.
- Tampa's Little Slick starts today: $200 buy-in, $100,000 guaranteed, nine flights through Saturday with Day 2 on Sunday. Casino Dania Beach's $300 August Multi-Day also flights today toward its $100,000 Day 2 on Sunday.
