The Circuit Lands in South Florida Thursday
The WSOP Circuit opens at Harrah's Pompano Beach on Thursday and runs twelve days, eighteen ring events, ending October 12. The $1,700 Main Event carries a $1,000,000 guarantee, with flights October 8 to 10 and Day 2 on the 11th. It is the biggest guarantee South Florida will see this fall.
The schedule is built so the ring is reachable at every level. Week one has the two big multi flights: the $600 Mini Main ($250,000 guaranteed), flights October 2 to 4, and the $500 Monster Stack ($150,000 guaranteed), October 5 to 7. Week two is the Main plus a run of $400 one day events, a Big O, a Ladies Event, a 40/40/40 for the 40 and over crowd, and a $2,200 High Roller on the final Sunday.
Circuit structures for this stop live only inside the WSOP LIVE app, so chips, level lengths and late registration for all eighteen events are on our site instead, where you can read them without downloading anything. And if you are staying closer to home that second week, Palm Beach Kennel Club runs its monthly $300 Monster October 8 to 11, with the full schedule posting this week.
Caesars Sold for $17.6 Billion, and the WSOP Comes With It
Caesars Entertainment's board approved a sale to Tilman Fertitta on Thursday: $5.7 billion in cash plus roughly $12 billion in assumed debt. Fertitta already owns the Golden Nugget. If the deal closes he adds eight Caesars properties on the Strip, among them Caesars Palace, Paris, Harrah's and the Flamingo.
For poker players the part that matters is what else Caesars owns: the World Series of Poker, the bracelet events every summer and the Circuit that pulls into Pompano this week. One owner would hold the WSOP, the Circuit, and several of the rooms where they play. It is not done. The Federal Trade Commission has asked for more information, and regulators still have to sign off. Analysts do not agree on what it means for the properties. Private ownership can mean more money to reinvest, or cost cutting against that debt.
Big Week
Four Series Open Within a Week
The Circuit at Pompano starts Thursday, eighteen ring events over twelve days. In Las Vegas, Wynn's Fall Classic opens the same day with a $250,000 guarantee. In northeast Florida, bestbet St. Augustine's Fall StAC ($300, $100,000 guaranteed) runs flights October 1 to 4.
The following week Hollywood opens a $200 Deep Stack Special for $100,000, flights October 7 to 10 with Day 2 on the 11th. And Seminole Hard Rock Tampa's Pinktober begins October 6, building to a $1,200 Championship for $200,000.

Volpe Wins the One He Always Plays
Paul Volpe won Borgata's $5,300 Big, Big Championship for $492,415, topping 519 entries and a $3,000,000 prize pool. It was his tenth main event final table at Borgata in fifteen years, and his largest score there, pushing his main event earnings at that one room past $1,500,000.
"It's my home casino and I always play the main events here," Volpe said afterward. "It's absolutely my favorite spot." He started Day 3 near the short stack before taking the chip lead at the final table.
The Number
16
Starting flights in one tournament. Borgata's $600 Lions of the East runs eight Day 1s at MGM National Harbor in Maryland and eight more at Borgata, and every survivor converges on Atlantic City for a single Day 2 on October 18. Guarantee: $2,000,000.
Worth Knowing
- Lions of the East is two tournaments in two states that end as one. Flights run at MGM National Harbor October 7 to 12, including a Columbus Day flight, then at Borgata October 13 to 17. Day 2 combines both properties October 18 at noon. $600 buy in, 35,000 chips, registration through Level 13, best stack forward if you play more than one flight.
- Maryland adds a series. Live! Casino Maryland's PokerFest runs October 21 to November 1, with a $400 multi flight for $200,000 to open and a $1,100 Main Event for $250,000 closing it out.
- The RunGood Series comes to Jacksonville October 21 to November 1: eleven events at bestbet, roughly $500,000 in guarantees, and a $1,200 Main Event for $300,000 with Day 1s October 29 to 31.
- Derby Lane's $500,000 is three weeks out and satellites run several nights a week now, from $50. Eight flights October 17 to 24, Day 2 on the 25th, $800 buy in. Their Tuesday night game also changed this week, to $165 with a $12,000 guarantee.

New to LFG Poker
October is loaded across all thirty rooms, and that includes the series that were announced this month: Live! Maryland's PokerFest, bestbet's RunGood Series, Hollywood's $100,000 Deep Stack Special and the Anniversary Big Slick, and all sixteen flights of Lions of the East across both host rooms.
One change you will notice on the cards: structure sheets now open to your event. Series like Wynn's Fall Classic publish a single booklet covering dozens of tournaments, so we split them and attach the pages for the event you tapped. You get the blind grid, the registration rules and the series terms, and nothing to scroll past.
