September Opens With Money Everywhere
September opens with real money on the line in every direction. In Jacksonville, the WPT bestbet Championship plays Day 1A on Friday: $5,000 buy-in, $1,000,000 guaranteed, final table September 9. In Maryland, the MSPC Main Event ($1,700 for $500,000) flights Thursday through Saturday at Live! Casino Maryland, with Day 2 Sunday and a Monday finish.
Florida keeps pace all weekend: Daytona's $300 Summer Classic ($100,000 guaranteed) flights Wednesday through Saturday with a livestreamed final table Monday, and Tampa's TGT Poker & Racebook runs a $220 Labor Day Weekend event for $60,000 with five flights Friday through Sunday and Day 2 on the holiday itself. In Vegas, Wynn closes its Signature Series with a $1,100 event for $400,000, flights Thursday through Saturday. And looming over it all: Borgata's Big Big Series opens September 13 with over $6 million guaranteed.

The Best $300 in Florida This Week Is in West Palm
Palm Beach Kennel Club's $300 September Monster is the most accessible six-figure prize pool of the week: $100,000 guaranteed, five flights Thursday through Saturday, Day 2 Sunday at 12:15. You get 40,000 chips and 30-minute levels, and $65 satellites run all week, meaning a shot at a $100K pool can cost less than dinner. August's Monster paid its co-champions about $25,000 each; the guarantee is not theoretical money.

Nevada casinos' gaming revenue for July, up 2.1% on last year and one of the best months in state history. The Las Vegas Strip took $776.3 million of it, up 3.6%, with baccarat alone accounting for nearly half of Strip table-game revenue.

- The WSOP Circuit is coming to South Florida. Harrah's Pompano Beach hosts a full ring series October 1 to 12, headlined by a $1,700 Main Event with $1,000,000 guaranteed, plus a $600 Mini Main for $250,000 and a $500 Monster Stack for $150,000. All 25 events are on the site now.
- South Point has changed how it deals cards. The Las Vegas room switched from pitching cards to sliding them face-down across the felt, citing the rise of camera glasses, hidden earpieces and AI-assisted cheating. The room's manager says banning electronics is not realistic, so the deal itself is the defense.
- Tampa gets a $250,000 tournament this month. TGT's Fall Frenzy runs September 15 to 20: $500 buy-in, four Day 1 flights, $80 satellites feeding $500 seats all week, and a $125 prelim for $15,000 on the 15th.
